This is a part-time role starting at 15-20 hours/week with potential to increase to full-time/long-term if we both find it’s a great fit. We are committed to providing growth opportunities for exceptional people.

As Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

Implement our financial routine

Organize and monitor annual budget
Ensure payments and reimbursements according to budget and policies
Track budget on a monthly basis, classify and analyze expenditures, create quarterly financial reports
Support country managers in creating project budgets and financial projections

Monitor edge’s operational progress

Organize and manage the dashboard monthly, collect dashboard data within the team
Track progress of operations; highlight successes and shortcomings to team
Ensure we collect feedback from partners, clients and participants e.g. through online and offline feedback forms

Ensure adequate reporting

Compile monthly reports to key stakeholders
Ensure project reporting is done and learnings are communicated adequately within the team
Coordinate half-year reporting in the team

Support team operations

Proof-reading of documents and external messaging
Deliver logistics of travel (visa letters, flights etc)
Keep our IT systems in check (e.g. creating email IDs, ensuring the file server is kept organized, monitor use of CRM system)
Support our team processes, by e.g. monitoring leave days, KPIs reviews and coordinating hiring processes
Support communications responsible (uploading pre-defined posts, tracking clicks, replying to emails requesting general information…)

Requirements:

You have worked in an Operations, Finance or Admin role for at least one year and have at least basic experience in financial management
You are excited about working in a start-up environment, proven to be comfortable with small teams and fast-changing environments
You are extremely organized and have keen attention to detail
You enjoy working with numbers and creating simple, well structured reports
You organize your work independently and proactively solve problems impeding it
You are happy with virtual team work, flexible hours and a home office setup
You are a good communicator with colleagues and externals, helpful and attentive to others’ needs
You show general interest in how human resources and talent contribute to an organization’s success
You are experienced in “getting stuff done” (personally or professionally)
You are tech savvy - comfortable in administering tools like box.net, email accounts and you have advanced skills in Power Point and Excel
You have excellent English, maybe you know basic Spanish/Portuguese too
Experience in communications (social media, newsletters) enhance your profile
