Several held in Khi search operations

KARACHI: Search operation by law enforcement agencies (LEAs) was in full swing as around 15 suspects were taken into custody in various parts of the metropolis on Sunday.

According to police sources, Rangers personnel along with policemen conducted search operation from early Sunday in different parts of the city, including Lyari's Kalakot, Cheel Chowk, Gabol Park, Chakeewara, Singo Lane and Meeran Naka.

The law enforcers besieged these areas and started house-to-house search initially from several parts of Lyari from where 11 suspects were detained. Four were held from Cheel Chowk while seven others from Meeran Naka and Bakra Peeri.

Meanwhile, the LEAs also conducted search operation in Burns Road area and arrested an extortionist from Juice Centre including four others suspects.

Police seized a huge cache of arms from a graveyard in Korangi on a tip-off of an accused arrested from Chakra Goth, Korangi.
