Operations Manager Sustainable Healthcare Foundation - Kenya (I'm just the poster....no other details)

This is a key position with a critical role to play in providing operational leadership and general management of all business activities of SHF in line with the company mission.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Manage supply chain to ensure adequate and timely supply of approved products to CFW shops and clinics throughout Kenya
Ensure franchisees comply with CFW brand and clinical standards in their shops and clinics; track performance targets and oversee compliance functions
Complete pilot of clinic management technology and expand the technology throughout CFW network (currently 67 shops and clinics)
Maintain positive franchisee relations
Guide the organization’s strategy and business model
Develop high-performing team in line with defined organization culture
Prepare and gain approval for annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Constrain spending within approved budgets
Prepare and submit monthly financial statements and operating reports
Ensure high ratings on annual audits and reviews
Meet agreed profitability targets for franchisees and franchisor
Coordinate SHF’s efforts to develop new product and service offerings
Maintain size of current network of clinics; meet revenue and profitability targets
Oversee HR and Administration including recruitment, staff retention, performance-based incentives, rationalizing operation to budget and plans, etc.
Interact on behalf of CFW with suppliers, vendors, franchisees, global health agencies, donors, investors, regulators, Ministry of Health, etc.
Oversee competent and speedy execution of innovations such as clinic management technology and targeted subsidies
Stay abreast of laws relevant to SHF and ensure compliance
Host occasional visitors to the CFW network
Handle any additional responsibilities as assigned by the board or designee

Desired Skills and Experience

Relevant degree from a reputable institution.
At least 5-years work experience, with 2+ years in an operations role in comparable settings.
Strong analytical and financial skills.
Demonstrated leadership, networking and negotiation skills.
Hands-on approach to getting things done.
Outstanding problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, and Skype.
Passion for improving the health of mothers and children in Kenya.
Very good management and supervisory skills.
Note: We will accept CVs from candidates with NGO experience, but prefer candidates with successful experience operating for-profit companies.
