GMT + 3 Hours EGGNOG COOKIES

Eggnog Cookies


1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
1 cup eggnog
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
5 1/2 cups flour
1 large egg white, lightly beaten
Colored Sugar


Cream the butter and the sugar.  Beat in the eggnog, baking soda,, and the nutmeg.
Gradually add the flour.  Mix well. Cover and chill for 1 hour.  On a lightly floured
suface, roll out half of the dough to 1/8 inch thickness.  Using a floured 3 1/2 inch
cookie cutter, cut into desired shapes.  Place on ungreased baking sheets.  Repeat
with the remaining dough.  Brush with the egg white.  Sprinkle with the colored sugar.
Bake at 350 F. until the cookie edges are lightly browned, about 6-8 minutes.  Cool
on wire racks.  YIELD:  About 7 Dozen
