ASSIGNMENT: Bhadur and Sons is one of the Pakistan’s leading consultancy firms. The firm is ranked amongst the
top 200 consulting firms in Asia and Africa. It offers a wide range of consultancy services including contract
documentation, construction/installation supervision, contract management and post-construction services.

You are Project Management Officer (PMO) in Bhadur and Sons. Currently, Bhadur and Sons has a new project with an
objective to build a 13500 square feet building for a Sports Complex. The firm has $20 million of budget and 3 months
of time to complete the Project. The firm has to start work on that project from the 1st of coming month.
It is very
crucial to complete this project within schedule as the State Minister has to inaugurate this Sports Complex after four
months. On the same time, the firm is also working on many other parallel projects. Firm shares technical as well as
managerial resources for all the projects. It is very essential to understand that how the resources are utilized across
various projects for project performance, including cost effectiveness and profitability.
Question: This morning you received a message that the resource pool members will be unable to perform as planned
for the next months because the overall work load has grown too high and while delays are adding up, the morale of
the staff is going down.
Being a PMO, What will be your strategy in the given scenario to complete the project within time and budget?

IMPORTANT:

24 hours extra / grace period after the due date is usually available to overcome uploading difficulties. This extra
time should only be used to meet the emergencies and above mentioned due dates should always be treated as
final to avoid any inconvenience.
