Onion prices dip in local market after export ban to India

LAHORE: Price of onion has plunged in local market following Pakistani ban on export of the commodity to India via land route, Geo News reported on Saturday.
Talking to Geo News, Vice Chairman Vegetable Market Committee Asif Ahmed said that onion price has witnessed Rs10 to Rs15 per kg fall in local market after the ban, while prices have hiked by Rs05 to Rs10 per kg in India.
Meanwhile, tomato prices have climbed to Rs70 per kg in the local market.
