God: Ever Available and Responsive.

As-Salaam alaikum, 
  In ayat 11 of Surat Shura, chapter 42 of the Holy Qur'an, we read of Allah Ta'ala, the Creator of the Heavens and Earth, that..

  "THERE IS NOTHING (whatsoever) LIKE INTO HIM" (42:11)

In other words, God's Majesty is too great either to exist in the shape of a human being or to lose anything by the existence of particular essences. And this explains why there are no pictures of creatures, humans or anything, in a Masjid/mosque.

 He (Allahu Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala) is everywhere, nothing exists besides His Face :
    "TO GOD BELONGS THE EAST AND THE
     WEST: WHEREVER YOU TURN, THERE IS
     THE PRESENCE OF GOD, FOR GOD IS 
     ALL-PERVADING, ALL-KNOWING" (2:115)

And so, Muslims understand God to be available and responsive. The twofold nature of God's manifestation (All-Pervading, All-knowing) indicate to us Allah's being the Absolute Truth and being manifested everywhere in everything... JALLAH-JALALAHU.
