GMT + 3 Hours Honda CD 70 Engine Rebuild

Post by Simba Mon Oct 14, 2013 5:27 pm

Salam,
I have got a Honda CD 70 (Breaker point model)
It has clocked almost 1 lac km on the odometer and now it has started giving me some problems which are mentioned below.
1: Alot of vibration in the body frame as soon as it touches even 60km/h.
2: Leakage of engine oil from the head. (My mechanic says the engine seals will be changed)
3: An irritating noise has emerged which according to my mechanic is the connecting rod.
4: A visible decrease in the pickup and the bike is making a lot of noise even running on low rpm,s.

Now the main problem is the piston replacement.
Currently its the stock "0" sized one and I have heard that when piston is changed then bore bara karna parta hai and blah blah.
I dont know what to do as someone is suggesting me to go for a bigger piston and others are opting against it?
What will be the advantages or disadvantages if I move to a size"5" piston or a size "10" piston
Your valuable suggestions are required.
And here is my bike.
