Abbottabad Commission visits OBL compound

ABBOTTABAD: The formal commission set up for probing OBL fiasco under the leadership of Justice Javed Iqbal visited the alleged compound of Osama Bin Laden here Friday, Geo News reported. The commission was accompanied by army and police officials.

Other commission members including General (retd) Nadeem Ahmed, Jahangir Ashraf Qazi and former IGP Khyber Pakhatunkhwa Abbas Khan also visited the site and minutely examined the

The officials of District Administration and representatives of Local Media will record their statements in front of the Commission

The commission will determine the nature, background and causes of lapses of the concerned authorities, if any, and it shall make consequential recommendations.

The commission is likely to brief media after the investigations.

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani constituted the commission for investigation into the presence of Osama bin Laden and the US Special Forces operation in the city of Abbottabad to kill the Al-Qaida chief.
