Dengue virus: 24 more diagnostic labs sealed off in Lahore

LAHORE: Around 24 more diagnostic laboratories have been sealed off and their owners and employees have been taken into custody for fleecing dengue patients in Lahore, Geo News reported.

District administration Lahore continued its crackdown and sealed off 24 test labs including labs of well-known private hospitals for diagnosing dengue virus in the patients at exorbitant rates.

Meanwhile, Home Secretary Punjab has enforced section 144 in the province and extended it for one month. Under the section Punjab government has maintained dengue virus test at Rs90.

It is said that action against these diagnostic labs has been taken for violating the section 144. The total number of sealed off labs has reached 69 in two days.
