HOUSTON: Houston’s Mayor Anis Parker and Ex. Councilman M.J. Khan have jointly announced that the Iftar dinner for Muslims of Houston will be held on Saturday August 6th.

Members of Congress and other civic and political leaders are expected to participate in this dinner, whereas this Iftar dinner is sponsored by more than 30 social and welfare organizations.

In this annually hosted Iftar dinner, thousands of people would participate with their families in which majority of people are of Pakistani origin.

More than fifty thousand Pakistanis live in Houston whereas more than hundred thousand Pakistanis are living in the state of Texas.
