The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, Virtual University of Pakistan has arranged an online "One Day Symposium on How Data Can Help in Reshaping Academic, Social & Economic Practices after Covid-19 Pandemic" on 19th June, 2020. Renowned speakers from Canada, USA, Germany and from Pakistan will be joining the event.

Social Distancing, Stay-at-Home and closing of the borders are few activities that on one hand have helped in slowing the COVID-19 pandemic but on the other hand, have affected the academic, social and economic conditions of individuals, societies and countries at worst. As per estimates 195 million jobs are already affected or at stake. In this ever worst pandemic, Data Science and its applications are providing us a window of opportunity to deal with it and to overcome the impact.
