Discussion Question
Both, the Moderating and Extraneous variables have an influence on the relationship between the dependent and independent variable. Discuss the basis on which we can differentiate moderating and extraneous variables?

Independent –Variable and Dependent Variable A measured or a manipulated factor in research is called an Independent variable. While the factor which is observed and measured to know the effect of independent variable, is called Dependent Variable.
Moderator Variable- Thes are the factor which are measured, selected by the researcher to discover whether it modifies the relationship of the independent variable to an observed phenomenon.
Extraneous Variable- Extraneous variables are the factors in research which cannot be controlled.Extraneous variables are independent variables that have not been controlled. They may or may not influence the results.
So on the basis of measure, examine we can differentiate moderating and extraneous variables
