GMT + 3 Hours Pakistan beaten by Germany 2-3 in World Snooker Cup

KARACHI: After an amazing start on Monday shocking top seed Ireland 3-2, Pakistan brought was down to earth being beaten by Germany 2-3 on the second day of World Cup Snooker Team Championship in Bangkok (Thailand) Tuesday.

Germany which is not considered a strong nation in World Snooker circuit won the opening two singles to gain 2-0 advantage.

Pakistan pair Shahid Aftab and Muhammad Sajjad won the doubles to make it 2-1, according to informations received here.

However in the third singles Shahid Aftab lost to Lasse Munstermann. In the final singles, Muhammad Sajjad defeated Patrick Einsle to salvage the scoreline.

After Wednesday's rest day, Pakistan team will clash with formidable Wales team on Thursday in the 20-nation competition.
