113 detained during search operation in Karachi

KARACHI: Rangers and Police carried out search operation in parts of metropolis, apprehending 113 suspects, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, the operation was carried out in residential buildings on M A Jinnah Road, Jalal Abad area of Nazimabad and Kimari.

Sources said that rangers and police detained 113 suspects during the operation.

KARACHI: Thirteen people lost their lives after receiving electric shocks due to the heavy rain that lashed the metropolis on Saturday.

During the heavy rainfall in Karachi, a five-year old girl got electric shocks after which her mother among three women of the family ran to save her but all of them also received electric current and lost their lives.

Various electric shock related incidents were also reported in Kharadar, Model Colony, Nazimabad, Arambagh and Gulshan e Iqbal among various areas in which eight people perished.

More rain expected in Karachi: Met office

KARACHI: The Met office has predicted more rain in Karachi during the next 24 hours, Geo News reported.

52 MM of rain was recorded in Landhi, 40 MM in Saddar, 31 MM in Shara-e-Fasial, 25 MM in Nazimabad, 18 MM on airport and 16 MM on university road.
