Multan International Airport!

There were news that Oman's LCC (SalamAir) is going to start operations from Multan but somehow due to CAA restrictions, SalamAir unable to start flights from Multan to Muscat.

Same case goes to Shaheen Air and PIA as well, we don't know reasons behind these decisions but fact of the matter is that Multan Airport is performing very well and there is lot of potential due to South Punjab.

Now there are news that OmanAir's CEO had talks with Mr. Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan to discuss new destinations and might be Multan could be one of them.

Moreover SalamAir's CEO had also discussions with Mr. Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan to discuss plans and definitely Multan station could be part of their discussion.

I have friend who is working in SalamAir and he told me that they are struggling to get permissions from CAA Multan and Allah knows better, what are the reasons.

We should expect services from PIA but it seems to be difficult in current circumstances. I am frequent traveler and whenever traveling using Emirates to Multan, always found that flight is fully packed.

They started Multan operation in May and suddenly suspended without any news on their website.
