The Pateri breed is found in the districts of Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Kherpur and Sanghar in Sindh.
Physical Characteristics
Body color is white and face, neck and years are reddish brown. The Pateri is one of the heaviest breeds of goats found in Sindh. The ears are long and drooping and wide and the ends. The udder is well developed and milk yield is 170 litters in 120 day lactation. Adult males and females weigh 52 and 42 KGs respectively. Twin births are common. The goats are raised for meat and milk. Fattened males are in great demand for sacrificial slaughter on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Although Kamori goats are popular all over the Sindh, they are considered a breed of the irrigated tract. True-to-type specimens are found near Hala and Saeedabad, extending to parts of Nawabshah District.
Physical CharacteristicsKamori are dark brown with light brown or black patches of varying sizes. They are large compact and high-set. The head is also large, nose roman and ears long, wide and drooping. The tail is small. Males and females are both horned. The udder and teats are well developed. Milk yield is 210 litters in 150 days. These goats are generally not clipped. Adult males and females weigh 50 and 44 KGs respectively. Twin births are common. Kamori goats are primarily raised for milk and meat. They have exported to other countries.

This breed is named after the camel raising tribes of Jats in Sindh. Jattan goats are found in the irrigated areas of Mirpur Khas district, bordering Thar Desert.
Physical CharacteristicsTheir color is fawn, red or black. This is a large sized breed with long legs. The medium drooping ears are white and splashed with fawn red or black. Males have a black ring around the base of the neck. Males are females are both horned. The udder is well developed. Milk yield is 225 litters in 130 day lactation. Adult males and females weigh 50 and 42 KG respectively. Jattan are raised mainly for milk and Meat.
Habitat
This breed is said to have been imported from Bangladesh. Its present home tract comprises the districts Sargodha, Gujarat, Jhelum and Rawalpindi in Punjab and the adjoining areas of Azad Kashmir.
Physical CharacteristicsTeady goats are creamy, white, brown, and black or patched with these colors. They have a compact body small and droopy ears and slightly prominent nose. Both horned and polled specimens are found. Horns may spirals. Bucks often have the beard. Hind quarters are muscular. Udder is moderately developed with short conical teats. Milk yield is 65 liters per 130 day lactation. Hair is generally not clipped. Adult males and females weigh 30 and 23 KG respectively. Twins and triplets occur at about 50 and 15 percent respectively. Teddy goats are raised for meat. Early maturity and high prolificacy are important features of this breed.

This breed is found in the Pothwar / Pothohar area of Punjab and adjoining parts of Kotli and Mirpur districts of Azad Kashmir

Horns are spiraled in males and smooth in females. The udder is not very well developed. Milk yield is 110 litters in 150 days lactation. Hair is yield is 600 grams per head per annum. Adult males and females weight 28 and 22 KGs respectively. Twin births occur at only 10%. Pothwari goats are raised for meat and milk
Habitat These goats are found in Bahawalpur, Multan Muzaffargarh, Layyah districts in Punjab province. They have a dancing gait; hence they are named “Nachi”.
Physical CharacteristicsNachi goats are usually black but sometimes they are black and white spotted. They have a compact body, short rough hair, medium head with Roman nose, small and thin horns and medium ears. The udder is not very well developed and the milk yield is 110 liters in 100 day lactation. Hair yield is 600 grams per head per annum. Adult males and females weigh 33 and 28 Kg respectively. Twin births are common. Nachi Goats are raised for meat and Milk.
Habitat
District Muzaffargarh and Multan in Punjab Province are home tract of this breed. There are named after Dera din Panah, a town in Muzaffargarh District.
Physical CharacteristicsThese goats are black and hairy with a large well developed body. Large head with Roman nose, hair on the chin and long broad ears. Cartilaginous appendages on the side of the neck are found in some animals. Horns are thick and long with two or three spiraled curves. The tale is medium and covered with short rough hair. Udder and teats are well developed and milk yield is 245 liters in 135 day lactation. Adult males and females weight 45 and 40 KG respectively. Hair yield is 1200 grams per head per annum. Twin births are common. These goats are raised for milk, meat and hair production.

Beetal goats are found in almost all the irrigated areas of the Punjab, including districts of Jhelum, Gujarat, Mandi-Bahaudddin, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang, Multan, Sahiwal and Okara.
Physical Characteristics
Body color is golden brown or red spotted with white or black patches. The body is compact and well developed. The head is massive and broad, nose roman, and ears long, broad and pendulous. Spiraled horns are long in males and shorter in females. They have long legs and a short tail. The udder is well developed and teats are long. Adult males and females weigh 46 and 37 KG respectively. Milk yield is 290 liter per lactation of 130 days. More than 50% of the births are twins or triplets. Being smooth coated animals they are not generally clipped. Beetal males are raised specially as sacrificial animals for slaughter on Edi-ul-Azha.
