LAHORE: The national U-16 hockey along with the weightlifting championships have been postponed due to fear of the Dengue virus, Geo News reported.

The U-16 championship was scheduled to begin from October 1 but the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) postponed the tournament after orders from the Punjab government.

The Punjab Weightlifting Association postponed the Punjab weightlifting championship which was scheduled to begin from September 28.

Prior to this the National T20 tournament was shifted from Lahore to Karachi due to fear of the Dengue virus.
