PESHAWAR: A 12-day anti-measles drive has been kicked off in seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which children under five will receive measles shots.

Talking to Geo News, Deputy Director of Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Dr Jaan Baaz Khan said the measles prevention campaign has been commenced to continue for at least 12 days in cities including Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Batgram, Kirk, Bannu and Laki Marwat.

At least five lakhs of children will receive vaccination during the campaign. Besides measles shots, the children will be administered polio drops as well.

Jaan Muhammed said measles prevention campaign will be started in other districts.
