Over 2,000 dengue cases reported in Punjab

LAHORE: The number of dengue cases continues to rise in Punjab and has crossed 2,000 and in Lahore alone 1,972 people are suffering from this deadly fever, Geo News reported.
Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has prohibited morning assemblies in schools for two months as a measure to contain the spread of the virus. The Punjab CM has also directed that additional doctors be deployed at hospitals to deal with the growing number of dengue patients.
Help lines have also been started so residents of the province can speak to doctors if they are unable to come to the hospitals.
