LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has announced that the private hospitals would be providing free treatment to the Dengue patients, Geo news reported.

Addressing a meeting of the emergency committee set up for combating Dengue virus, Shahbaz said that the private laboratories would also conduct blood test on concession rate.

The chief minister directed that immediate actions be taken for importing medicines from India by road, train and air. He also asked for approaching the general practitioners to provide free consultations to Dengue virus patients.

NGOs should also be included in the campaign against Dengue virus, Shahbaz directed.
