Overview

Welcome to the Literary Club of Virtual University of Pakistan!
The purpose of this club is to provide an organized platform for competences of students who have their interest in literature activities.

Vision

To promote students’ literary competencies through systematized platform for extra-curricular activities

Mission

The aim of this club is to find out the literary competencies of students interest in literature reading, writing and recitations in English, Urdu or any other language. Literature competencies of VU students can be enhanced using activity based methods at campus level, district level and national level.

Objectives

To promote literary activities in this institution
To share, contribute and promote literacy material from the students
To use this platform for publicity of Virtual University of Pakistan in print and electronic media
To build the character of the students
To prepare the students for future challenges

Activities

Based on the number of campuses and students in each region, the society will coordinate the following activities in various cities and campuses.

Essay Writing Competition
Poetry Writing/Recitation
Publications
Mushaira
Cap Verses (Bait Bazi)
Seminars and workshops for improving the writing skills of the students
