LAHORE: One of the most senior journalists of Pakistan and chairman of Nawa-i-Waqt Group of Publications Majid Nizami passed away.

Nizami, 86, was a heart patient and was under treatment at a private hospital in Lahore. He took hold of the Nawa-i-Waqt group after the death of his elder brother and legendary journalist Hameed Nizami. His funeral prayers will be offered at Bagh-i-Jinnah in Lahore at 9am.
