LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri in his reaction to the Supreme Court's issuance of contempt notice to the Prime Minister, said the apex was forced to take action over government's inaction on its instructions, Geo News reported on Monday.
Addressing a press conference here, Kasuri said the government seemed inclined to become a political martyr. "It is the government's own policy now to invite trouble," he added.
With regards US-Iran strained ties, he said it appeared that the US was tightening the noose around Iran. The US, he added, should act rationally and in case of an attack on Iran, Tehreek-e-Insaf would oppose the move.
He observed that an attack on Iran would have negative implications for Pakistan.
