KABUL: International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) spokesman Brigadier General Carsten Jacobson Monday alleged that Haqqani Network was constantly engaged in making and executing its plans from across the border, Geo News reported.

However, he added, that there was no credible evidence or information that can confirm whether the Haqqani Network had eliminated its safe havens in Pakistan.

The spokesman said that Sirajuddin Haqqani while giving an interview on telephone to a foreign news agency a few days back claimed that he was in Afghanistan and was launching assaults from there.

The spokesman of NATO-led ISAF said a number of Haqqani men were either captured or killed from Paktia and Khost near Pakistan border in August. These men also included Haqqani Network's key leader number 2.

Last week, NATO's Commander John Allen also visited the eastern part of Afghanistan along with border areas of Pakistan. During the visit, John Allen had received a briefing on the available arms and ammunition and inspected the easily transferable artillery.
